Efforts in Massachusetts to boost job prospects for recently returned military veterans will include a Veterans Day Job fair in western Massachusetts Monday. WAMC’s Paul Tuthill reports.
The veterans jobs fair will be held Monday morning at Career Point in Holyoke, one of the state’s one stop employment centers. The Mass. Office of Labor and Workforce development has awarded grants to several career centers for veterans programs. The unemployment rate for post 9-11 military veterans nationwide is 14.5 percent.
