Massachusetts is holding an oddly timed primary on Tuesday.
The day after Labor Day can be a rude awakening for some as vacations end and frantic school and work schedules kick in.
Now add a trip to a polling place for the Massachusetts Democratic and Republican primaries, and Springfield Elections Commissioner Gladys Oyola-Lopez predicts voter turnout could be depressed.
" A lot of people are on vacation and they are just not voting, unfortunately," she said in an interview Friday.
Massachusetts is the only state where voting is taking place Tuesday. Polls are open from 7 a.m.-8 p.m.
