Benefit concert featuring award-winning blues woman Gaye Adegbalola
On October 6 at 7:00 p.m., award-winning blues woman, educator, and activist Gaye Adegbalola will headline a benefit concert for the Pittsfield-based Rites of Passage and Empowerment (R.O.P.E.) program. Adegbalola, who is best-known as the "flamboyant, flashy, very funny frontwoman" for Saffire, The Uppity Blues Women, will be joined by Gina Coleman's Misty Blues and others for this very special concert. Tickets are $25 and are available via Eventbrite. Proceeds to benefit R.O.P.E.'s programming and college tuition assistance fund for young women of color.
