Annual Antique Bottle Show & Sale to benefit the National Bottle Museum, 76 Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa, NY. Admission $5, children 16 and under free, free parking. Food and refreshments available on site by the Brickyard Tavern.
The show serves as the Museum’s chief annual fundraiser attended by dealers & collectors from across the United States. All types of old bottles including medicinal, beer, soda, canning jars, flasks, milk bottles, early New England glass, stoneware and ephemera are to be found. Richard Carney of Old Bottle Sea Glass of Maine will be at the show with his well known bottle art.
There will also be an educational display of milk bottles entitled “Orange County Milk Bottle Museum: Preserving New Yorks Lost Dairy Farming Empire” by Alex Prizgintas. This highly informative display will feature early, rarely seen milk bottles. Attendees are encouraged to bring in their empty old bottles for identification.
Attendees can visit the Museum for free the day of the show to learn more about bottles and the glassblowing industry blowing industry.
The National Bottle Museum is a not for profit 501 (c)(3) educational institution chartered by the NYS Education Department dedicated to the preservation and history of bottles and the Glassblowing industry.
