Claudia Tenney Gains Challenger For 22nd Congressional District Seat

Patrick Madden

A new challenger is lining up to run against freshman Republican Congresswoman Claudia Tenney of the Utica area.

Yesterday, Democrat Patrick Madden — not to be confused with the Troy Mayor of the same name — announced his plans to. Madden, who is an associate professor of computer science at Binghamton University, said in a statement that he is running for Congress “because our government has lost its way.”

Tenney represents the 22nd District, which includes parts of Oneida, Chenango, Cortland, Madison, Herkimer, Broome, Oswego, and Tioga counties.
