In New York’s 22nd Congressional District, state Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney is the projected winner of Tuesday’s Republican primary, which had her with a total 41 percent of the vote.
She beat out Steven Wells, who had 34 percent, and George Phillips with 25 percent. Tenney will now face Democratic Broome County Legislator Kim Myers in November. They are vying to succeed retiring Republican Congressman Richard Hanna.
