Tony Award-winning actress and Academy Award-nominee Lauren Bacall is dead at the age of 89.
Bacall died Tuesday at a New York City hospital. She once said, "Stardom isn't a career, it's an accident."
Bacall had a long movie career, starring in films such as "How to Marry a Millionaire" and "Murder on the Orient Express," and with husband Humphrey Bogart in "To Have and Have Not" and "The Big Sleep."
Bacall would outlive Bogart by more than 50 years.
