Northeast Ballet Company's "Nutcracker" 25th Anniversary at Proctors

The Northeast Ballet Company, under the direction of Darlene Myers, has been serving the Capital District since 1990 and has had the honor of being the resident company of Proctors Theater since 1991.

This weekend The Northeast Ballet will present The Nutcracker at Proctors. This is the 25th year that the company has produced the holiday classic and the production features 150 performers filling the ranks of mice, wooden soldiers, fairys, and –of course– some humans. The production is enjoyed by over 5,000 audience members each year.

Sarah has worked in radio since she graduated from college in 2006. In her work with WAMC, she often interviews regional and global artists in all fields including music, theatre, film, television, and visual arts. During the main thrust of the Covid-19 pandemic shut-down, Sarah hosted a live Instagram interview program "A Face for Radio Video Series." On it, Sarah spoke with artists about the creative activities they were accomplishing and/or missing. She is on the board of WAM Theatre and lives in Albany, New York with her husband, Paul, and their dog, Doritos.
