Judiciary Committee Member Steck Outlines Cuomo Impeachment Process

Assembly Judiciary Committee Chair Charles Lavine has outlined a schedule for the rest of the month for the impeachment probe against New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Lavine says a series of public and private hearings will be held in August before a possible impeachment trial. Lavine says the investigation is focusing on sexual harassment allegations, the governor’s pandemic memoir, priority COVID testing for the govenror’s inner circle, and more.

Colonie Democrat Phil Steck is a member of the Assembly Judiciary Committee, and like Speaker Carl Heastie, has called on Cuomo to resign.
