In New York, environmental group Clearwater is launching a climate change curriculum.

Using a number of recently awarded grants, Beacon-based Clearwater will launch a Hudson River-based climate change curriculum in February. The project is designed to take place over two years and, by January 2021, Clearwater anticipates it will have turned 450 students and 100 teachers in Newburgh and Kingston into environmental stewards. Clearwater will hold 18 in-class workshops along with; shoreline and dockside programs. The hope is that students will increase their understanding of key climate science concepts; local climate resiliency actions recommended or adopted for their cities; and ways they can help mitigate climate change hazards.
