The Albany Police Department will be looking for a new chief. Brendan Cox will leave the department to take another job, but so far there is no word on when Cox will leave or where he will be going.

Cox became chief in the spring of last year. He has served with the department for 22 years. Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan’s office has announced the mayor and Chief Cox will hold a joint news conference at 9:45 a.m. Monday at City Hall.
