In New York, the Westchester County executive has postponed his State of the County address after a Board of Legislators member tested positive for COVID-19.

Citing an abundance of caution, Democratic Westchester County Executive George Latimer has postponed his address that was scheduled for Thursday evening. Latimer, who says he does not have any COVID symptoms, was swabbed Thursday and said he tested negative for COVID-19.

Democratic Yonkers Legislator David Tubiolo says he learned of his positive result Wednesday. He also did not have any symptoms. Tubiolo was last in the Board office October 1. All legislators and staff who were in contact with Tubiolo are being tested.

The County Department of Health is advising anyone who attended the Virtual Italian Heritage Flag Raising Event at the County Office Building last week to contact their doctor or the Health Department to discuss testing.
