Nine more former employees of the shuttered Berkshire County residential school for boys and men with developmental disabilities have been charged with abuse.Eight of the accused pleaded not guilty in Southern Berkshire District Court Monday. An arrest warrant is out for the ninth person, Isaac Harris-El. The former Eagleton School employees face assault and battery of disabled persons, some with a dangerous weapon.

Sixteen total arrests have been made so far in an investigation that became public with a January raid on the Great Barrington school. A subsequent state investigation found systemic abuse and led to the pulling of the school’s licenses. It closed in April and some 70 students were transferred to other facilities.
