Voters in Cheshire, Massachusetts have approved a budget override needed to fund the town’s $2.6 million portion of the regional school district’s budget. More than a third of Cheshire’s voters came out Wednesday, passing the measure 499 to 325.

Cheshire’s assessment for the Adams-Cheshire Regional School District’s budget is $90,000 over the town’s levy limit.

The first override attempt in June failed with just 18 percent of the town’s voters turning out.
