  In ourIdeas Matter segment we take time just about every week to check in with the state humanities councils in our 7-state region.

Today we check in with theVermont Humanities Council and documentary film producer Jeff Kaufman. Kaufman directed The State of Marriage, which shows the struggle for same-sex marriage equality in Vermont.

The film will bescreened with a special panel discussion in Montpelier, Vermont on February 23.
