The Clinton County Health Department is reporting an uptick in COVID-19 in the northeast New York county.
As of Tuesday the department reported 35 active cases, with 18 associated with SUNY Plattsburgh and 11 with Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora.

Health Director John Kanoza said while the overall numbers are relatively low, the upward trend is worrisome as this is one of the largest spikes to occur in the county.

SUNY Plattsburgh is conducting pool testing and the 18 positive cases were reported over the past eight days.
