The Republican Mayor of Plattsburgh has announced he will not run for reelection.
Plattsburgh Mayor Don Kasprzak’s office e-mailed his announcement on Tuesday morning.
The Republican mayor of New York’s northernmost city gave no specifics regarding his decision, stating “After much thought and consideration, I have made the decision not to run for my final term as mayor....”
Mayor Kasprzak is out of town until next week and was unavailable for further comment.
