Troy Begins Parking Ticket Amnesty Program

Troy announced the start of its Parking Ticket Amnesty Program on Sunday.

Troy's Parking Ticket Amnesty Program is intended to recoup $1.1 million in outstanding parking ticket revenues. Under the program, those with open parking ticket violations issued between January 1, 2009 and March 1st, 2016 can get a one-time 40 percent reduction in fees.

Tickets can be paid online or at the city treasurer's office.

Troy mayor Patrick Madden and City Council President Carmella Mantello issued statements thanking the city council for their action in establishing the amnesty program.

The program will run until June 15th.
