MassPIRG Continues To Advocate For Plastic Bag Ban

As the Massachusetts legislature begins the final year of the two-year legislative session, advocates are pushing many agendas.

The Massachusetts Public Interest Research Group (MassPIRG) is hoping to get a statewide ban on single-use plastic grocery bags.

The group is also calling for stepped up efforts to get lead out of water faucets in the state’s schools. 

WAMC’s Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill spoke with MassPIRG Executive Director Janet Domenitz.
