The New York state Thruway Authority will be implementing emergency toll procedures in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Cash customers will receive a bill in the mail instead of paying cash until further notice. The bill will arrive in about 30 days. Drivers without E-ZPass who head to the cash lane upon entering the Thruway should continue without collecting a ticket. When they exit the Thruway, they’ll tell the toll collector at which exit they entered and provide their license plate numbers. The Thruway Authority’s emergency procedures take effect Sunday around 8 p.m.
