A New York congressman has authored a bill to reduce vaping on college campuses.

Democratic Congressman Eliot Engel has introduced the Vaping Prevention on College Campuses Act, legislation that directs federal agencies to develop toolkits to help colleges and universities reduce e-cigarette use among their students. Specifically, the measure would direct the Department of Education to work with the Department of Health and Human Services as well as public health organizations to develop toolkits that will help prevent students from using e-cigarettes and connect those addicted to treatment options. These toolkits would include action plans, materials to point out dangers of e-cigarette use and prevent such use, plus a directory of healthcare providers who specialize in nicotine addiction treatment.
