Voters Write-In For A NYS Senate Primary In The HV

In the Hudson Valley, voters had their say in a few New York state Senate races.

In the Democratic primary for the 42^nd state Senate district, where Republican John Bonancic holds the seat, there were 2,910 write-ins. This after activist Pramilla Malick, who is with Protect Orange County, mounted a write-in campaign, having petitioned the state Board of Elections for the opportunity to ballot. In the 40^th state Senate District, Democrat Alison Boak defeated Andrew Falk for the chance to unseat Republican Terrence Murphy in November.
