Hudson River Sloop Clearwater has postponed the boat’s re-launch ceremony.

Clearwater’s re-launch ceremony, originally scheduled for July 4, will be rescheduled for an as yet, undetermined date. Clearwater’s interim Executive Director Dave Conover says that even though the sloop is in great shape and back in the water with its hull restoration complete, it has taken longer than expected to go through the project checklist, which must be completed before scheduling a required inspection with the U.S. Coast Guard. The hull restoration cost about $850,000.00 has been the sloop’s largest restoration to date.
