An Assemblyman in the Hudson Valley has secured a grant for a group home for girls in Orange County.

Democrat James Skoufis says he secured a $30,000 grant for Access: Supports for Living to renovate a children’s group home for girls in Cornwall.  The Assemblyman from Woodbury says he toured the house with Access staff in the spring and saw the need for substantial work on the building. The funding will allow for exterior renovations and siding, along with investments in technology to assist the girls with their studies. Currently, eight girls live in the home, all of whom attend public school, volunteer, and work in the community.
