A New York state freshman senator from the Hudson Valley says her bill to create an Alzheimer’s and dementia database has moved one step forward.

Republican Senator Sue Serino says her bill to create a program database for individuals suffering from dementia or Alzheimer’s disease passed through committee Tuesday. Serino, the newly appointed chair of the Senate Committee on Aging, says the bill would create a program database on the State Office for the Aging website with up-to-date information on programs, methodologies and services provided statewide for people suffering from dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Serino says such a comprehensive database would put the tools and resources directly at the fingertips of the people who need it most.
