New York’s attorney general Tuesday announced a settlement with a Hudson Valley auto dealer over a fee.

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced a settlement with a Middletown auto dealer, Adee Motors, d/b/a Middletown Honda, which he says charged an undisclosed $500 processing fee to customers who bought their vehicles at the end of their leases. Schneiderman says Middletown Honda in Orange County is expected to pay back every victim, with interest – a total of $87,000 to 174 customers. He says the dealership has pledged to reform its practices and pay $48,000 in penalties to the state.
