Several people were taken to the hospital following an Albany car crash involving a funeral procession.

The multi-car incident along Central Avenue near Everett Road happened as a funeral procession was stopped for a traffic light. Police say a woman exiting a parking lot drove in between procession vehicles, attempting to reach the outside lane when her car was hit by another traveling in that lane. The fast-moving car flipped over, striking two procession vehicles. Five people complained of pain and were taken to area hospitals. The incident remains under investigation.
