Today on Medical Monday, Dr. Megan Applewhite joins WAMC's Alan Chartock. Dr. Applewhite is an endocrine surgeon, an assistant professor of surgery and biomedical ethics, and the interim director of the Alden March Bioethics Institute at Albany Medical College.
Dr. Applewhite specializes in treating patients with diseases of the thyroid, parathyroids, and adrenal glands. She is also fellowship-trained in medical ethics. Her areas of study include quality of life in thyroid cancer survivors and the surgeon-patient relationship.
