Earlier this month, the Senate confirmed Betsy DeVos as the 11th Secretary of Education. Vice President Mike Pence cast an unprecedented tie-breaking vote to secure President Trump’s pick. The philanthropist and activist takes over a federal bureaucracy with 4,400 employees and a $68 billion budget.
