Helicopter Crashes Near Plattsburgh

A helicopter crashed north of Plattsburgh Tuesday afternoon.
Four people were taken to the hospital in Plattsburgh after a helicopter crashed on the Burke Road in Beekmantown, about 6 miles north of Plattsburgh, at about 4:15 Tuesday afternoon. Video from MYNBC 5 and Facebook users shows powerlines and debris on fire and wreckage on the ground and hanging from the utility lines.  The nature of injuries and the cause of the crash are not yet known.
