A lockdown at a hospital in Plattsburgh ended Friday after nearly five hours.

Just before 10 a.m. Friday a bomb threat was received via the internet against University of Vermont Health Network Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh.

Following a search of the main campus, law enforcement agencies including the city police, FBI, NYS Police, and the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department found no credible threat and the lockdown was lifted at about 3:10 Friday afternoon.

The facility was not evacuated and the emergency room and surgeries continued to operate during the lockdown.

The investigation will continue.
