New York state Assemblywoman Janet Duprey announced her retirement last week after a 41-year political career. The Republican from the 115th district served 10 years as a Clinton County legislator and 21 years as the county treasurer before being elected to the Assembly in 2006.  She explains how she first entered politics four decades ago.
So far Republican Kevin Mulverhill and Democrat D. Billy Jones are the only candidates seeking to replace Duprey.
