Oprah Winfrey was among the honored guests at Skidmore College’s 2017 Commencement on Saturday.

Speaking to graduates after accepting an honorary doctorate, the global media star asked the audience at Saratoga Performing Arts Center to “challenge their spiritual muscle” and live gratefully.

“I practice being grateful. And a lot of people say, 'Oh, Oprah, that’s easy for you because you got everything.’ I got every thing because I practiced being grateful," said Winfrey.

The event marked Skidmore's 106th Commencement where 624 students graduated.

Author and activist Wes Moore and  Ann Rubenstein Tisch, Founder and President of Young Women's Leadership Network, also spoke after receiving honorary doctorates.

Winfrey today is scheduled to address students at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts.
