Just a month after the U.S. government eased travel restrictions on Cuba, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is planning a trip to the island nation.
Word came in an official email Saturday - his administration says Cuomo plans to lead a trade mission to Cuba to promote the Empire State, part of a "Global NY" initiative.
No timetable or itinerary was disclosed.
Last month it was announced the U.S. embargo on Cuba would be eased and diplomatic relations normalized.
Cuomo previously announced he'll visit Israel, China and Mexico during his second term as governor.
