WAMC's Alan Chartock interviewed former New York Governor Mario Cuomo more than any other journalist during the Democrat's three terms and after. Their weekly radio chats became a nationally syndicated program and gave listeners insight into the governor's thinking on policy and everyday issues. Dr. Chartock remembered Gov. Cuomo, who died Thursday at 82, speaking with WAMC's Ian Pickus.
