The Southern Berkshire Regional School District has finalized its reopening plans for the fall.

The district represents Sheffield, New Marlborough, Egremont, Monterey, and Alford. Superintendent Beth Regulbuto says remote learning will begin September 14th.

“And then on September 28th we are going to begin with the hybrid model, which would be cohort 1 coming in Mondays and Tuesdays with a day off on Wednesdays – not a day off from school, but a remote day for everyone – and the other cohort coming in on Thursdays and Fridays,” she told WAMC.

The school year has been reduced from 180 days to 170 days in Massachusetts due to the pandemic.
