FCC Ruling Could Hit Local Stations Where It Hurts

In a move that will likely tighten belts at public access television stations around the country, the Federal Communications Commission voted to create new guidelines for how much cable companies are required to support local broadcasting. Shawn Serre, executive director of Pittsfield Community Television, discussed Thursday’s vote with WAMC.
