Sheffield Native Killed In Ethiopian Plane Crash To Be Remembered Saturday

The family of a woman who died in a plane crash in Ethiopia is holding a memorial service in Berkshire County on Saturday.

Samya Stumo, 24, grew up in Sheffield, Massachusetts. She was among the 157 who died when Ethiopian Airlines flight 302 crashed March 10th. Through a family representative, her parents – Nadia Millerton and Mike Stumo – have invited “anyone who cared about [their] daughter” to join them on March 23rd at their home for a memorial service. Stumo is being remembered by her family as “fearless” and “radiant,” and “passionate about revolutionizing global health.” The event is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at 615 Boardman Street in Sheffield.
