Newton Mayor Setti Warren, a Democratic hopeful for Massachusetts governor, made stops in the Berkshires this week.

Warren met with elected officials in North Adams, Williamstown, Pittsfield, Lenox and Great Barrington Tuesday to share his vision for the state.

Warren is advocating for free public higher education, increased taxation on the rich and a single-payer health care system.

Two other Democrats have lined up to challenge first-term Republican Governor Charlie Baker in 2018: Environmentalist Bob Massie and former state Secretary of Administration and Finance Jay Gonzalez.
