Officials in Barre, Vermont have determined that a suspicious package was not dangerous.
The Barre City Police Department requested assistance from the Vermont State Police Bomb Squad after a pedestrian pointed out a suspicious package in the Rite Aid parking lot on Main Street in Barre on Monday morning.

The blue pack had exposed wiring and electronics which was not readily identifiable and interior contents were not visible.

The area was cordoned off until the bomb squad determined the item was a partially disassembled electronic hand warmer.
