Presidential primary debates could still resonate as Vermont Republicans and Democrats gather this weekend for their state party conventions.
Republicans meet Saturday in South Burlington.  One item on the agenda is the election of delegates to travel this summer to the party's national presidential nominating convention in Cleveland.

It's expected the Vermont GOP will send a delegation split between presumptive nominee Donald Trump and Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who lost narrowly to Trump in the March 1 primary and has since dropped out of the race.

Democrats hold their state convention Sunday at the Barre Opera House, where there could be some demands from Bernie Sanders supporters that the state's entire delegation support the home-state senator.
