For months, people have worried about the future of North Adams Regional Hospital, which abruptly closed in March 2014, leaving a large portion of Berkshire County residents without a nearby full-service hospital. But the subject of a book by a former employee is the hospital’s past. Dr. Paul Donovan has published the first part of a three-part series about the hospital’s 129-year history.

Donovan tells WAMC’s Berkshire Bureau Chief Jim Levulis NARH’s legacy remained on his mind after it shut its doors.
