An annual airplane and bicycle enthusiast celebration is returning to Great Barrington this weekend.Last year 2,500 people turned out for the Berkshire Bike-N-Fly as 100 planes landed and took off while 115 bikes raced around the Great Barrington airport. Organizer Richard Stanley says people can take scenic rides in planes, helicopters and hot air balloons.

“It’s an opportunity for pilots that are usually within an hour, hour and a half, can fly in, get together, talk about their airplanes and show off their airplanes,” Stanley explained. “People can get up close and personal in viewing the airplanes that fly in.”

Saturday’s event runs from 9 to 4. A rain date is set for Sunday. Parking is $10 per car and walk-in admission is $5 a person. Proceeds go to the Great Barrington Rotary Club & Scholarship Fund.
