Leonard Nimoy, famous across generations for his role as Spock in Star Trek, died on Friday. He was 83. From a young age Nimoy was interested in photography, a passion he continued throughout his life. In 2010, Nimoy showed his Secret Selves exhibition at MASS MoCA in North Adams and the R. Michelson Galleries in Northampton, among other pieces of work. Richard Michelson, the gallery’s founder and owner, developed a friendship with Nimoy. Michelson recently spoke with WAMC’s Jim Levulis about Nimoy and his photography.
