Air Travel Hampered By Northeast Storm

Air travel throughout the country is expected to feel the wrath of the two-day winter storm hitting the Northeast, home to some of the nation’s busiest airports.As of 7 p.m. Monday, Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy says Bradley International Airport will close to passenger activity. Albany International Airport will be open Tuesday but with significant cancellations, according to spokesman Doug Myers who spoke with WAMC News Monday afternoon.

“We’re seeing flights into Philadelphia, into Newark and flights over to Boston being cancelled,” said Myers.

Close to 6,000 flights have been cancelled over Monday and Tuesday.
