The select board chair in the northern Vermont town of Lowell expects wind energy will be an item on the agenda for the 2014 Town Meeting Day.

According to Lowell Town Clerk Karen Clinger, the board will set a date on Tuesday for a town meeting to gauge support for wind energy. Select Board Chair Richard Pion believes the date will be set to coincide with the annual Town Meeting Day.

On Friday, the Vermont Supreme Court ruled the town improperly refused to reconsider an article that was placed on the 2012 Town Meeting Day ballot. It was tabled before it could be considered.

Lowell is home to Green Mountain Power's Kingdom Community Wind project, which is now generating power.
