The Orange County executive has launched a letter-writing campaign to pay tribute to COVID-19 frontline workers during the holiday season.
Republican Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus says “Orange Cares” is to give thanks to frontline workers by writing letters of appreciation to the county’s doctors, nurses, first responders, medical administrative staff and those in nursing homes or hospitals. Card envelopes should be marked on the front indicating whether the card is for a nursing home resident or hospital patient, a healthcare worker or first responder. Cards will be collected through Friday, December 18 and can be dropped off at ShopRite locations in Chester, Middletown and Newburgh as well as a New Jersey location.
