In New York, an acting president has been appointed at Dutchess Community College following the retirement of the former president.
The Board of Trustees of Dutchess Community College, with the endorsement of the State University of New York, has appointed Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs and Students Services Dr. Ellen Gambino acting president. The DCC alumna steps in following the retirement of Dr, Pamela Edington, who had served since 2014. As president emeritus, Edington will remain available to assist in the transition of leadership, and for other duties as the board of trustees may request, through January 2021. A national search to fill the position will start soon and is expected to conclude by spring.
