Special Olympics Are In Dutchess Saturday

The Special Olympics New York Summer Games run all day Saturday in Dutchess County.

Nearly 1,500 athletes and coaches from across the state are expected to participate at various venues throughout Dutchess County for the annual games. Vassar College is host of the Olympic Village, swimming, basketball, tennis and track & field competitions, as well as Closing Ceremonies and a Victory Dance Saturday night. Other events are being held at Dutchess Community College, Mr. Todd’s Gymnastics and Fishkill Bowl. Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro is honorary chair of the summer games. All events are free and open to the public.
