A New York congressman has introduced a bill that would ease regulatory compliance for small businesses.

Democratic 19th District Congressman Antonio Delgado, a member of the House Small Business Committee, says the bill would require the Small Business Administration’s Office of the National Ombudsman to create a centralized website that houses compliance guides that pertain to federal regulations impacting small businesses. The bill is co-sponsored by Pennsylvania Republican John Joyce, also a member of the Small Business Committee. He says red tape can hinder small businesses’ growth, and this bill would centralize the oversight process and provide small businesses with the resources necessary to ease the hurdles of regulatory compliance.
